It saddens me to announce that my wife, Brownsburg Town Councilwoman Ronna Jessen has decided to step down from her Council position, effective Dec. 31st.

With many things going on in her life, the decision wasn’t an easy one.

More responsibility at work, along with a strong desire to go back to school, Ronna found that she could not give the attention to the Town that it deserves.

Here’s the Star’s article:

BROWNSBURG Town Councilwoman Ronna Jessen will resign from her post after just one year on the job.

Jessen, who started her four-year term in January, will leave the council effective Dec. 31 because of an extra workload at her job as senior associate at Colliers Turley Martin Tucker. She informed council members of her decision late last week.

“I just felt it would be better to step down than to not be as available as I need to be,” she said.

Hendricks County Republicans will hold a caucus in the coming weeks to elect her replacement.

I could not be prouder of my wife for her service to our community, along with her service in the US Army.
