A reader emails to inform me that Monday’s Howey Report featured quotes from the Herald-Times article on the IU College Republicans I quoted in my post questioning Murray Clark’s bid to be reelected as GOP state chairman.
Of course, that Herald-Times article dates back to late January. It’s an awful coincidence for Howey to be featuring it now, right after it appeared on this blog and was also posted here at Hoosier Access.

Howey is not really a political reporter — he is a political “picker.” I refer to the term antique hunters use to describe somebody who goes out to find good antique pieces worth purchasing. He spends his time not in getting tidbits from actual people, but picking out what other’s have said and then puts them in his “report” as news, and to give the impression he is “in the know.”
Karen, frankly that’s what most bloggers do, we don’t have very many actual investigative journalists engaging in the blogosphere. Will be nice when there is more of that.
Howey is selling subscriptions to a newsletter, and has a big following obviously that wants to pay him for information that is pretty easy to pick up if you have a google reader and five minutes to skim the feeds every day.
