I’ve had it. I’ve had enough of our RINO senior senator Richard Lugar. I thought something was up in 2006 when the Democrats didn’t put anyone up opposing Senator Lugar. No wonder, as on days like today he’s on the Democrats side! Take for example today in the process of confirming Elena Kagan to SCOTUS. Only two “GOP” Senators have announced support for the confirmation of Kagan – Lugar and SC Senator Lindsey “Grahamnesty” Graham.

From the Indy Star:

Sen. Richard Lugar today became one of the few Republicans who so far are supporting Elena Kagan’s confirmation to the Supreme Court. The Indiana Republican said he would vote for Kagan, who he said is “clearly qualified” and “has demonstrated a comprehensive knowledge of court history and decisions.” “I believe that she has had a distinguished career in both education and public service and is well regarded by the legal community and her peers,” Lugar said in a statement.

“Clearly qualified” ?? Umm what court has Ms. Kagan served on the bench before this appointment to SCOTUS? *tick tock tick tock* NONE!!! (and to those in the seats on the Left, I said the same thing about President Bush (the 43rd) nominating Harriet Miers to the high court bench)

Lugar has stated in the past that he feels its the President’s prerogative to place persons of their choosing on the bench in the Federal courts, and the Senate should be a rubber stamp for POTUS. For example, Lugar voted to confirm Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor both very far left wing justices. If the Senate was supposed to be a rubber stamp for the President, someone forgot to read that memo when Judge Robert Bork was nominated for a seat on the SCOTUS bench.

Senator Lugar is no longer the Republican we all once supported, and we deserve better representation in the Senate from a true conservative and not a Marion County RINO. It’s pretty obvious that Senator Lugar only plans to retire horizontally so the only way to retire him is to defeat the senior senator in the 2012 GOP Primary. There’s plenty of conservative talent in Indiana, and one of them is fully capable of a primary challenge to the RINO senator and sending him into retirement.

  1. I agree 100%. He has gone Washington moderate, is cozy with Obama and is slipping from old age.

  2. When Matt Tully goes after you, it tells me that you are on the right track. Senator RINO must go. We have lots of good conservatives that we can send to Washington to replace Lugar

  4. We are at war with the powers of socialism and evil. There is no room at this time for compromise. We always lose when we compromise. We need a take no prisoners attitude. It is time for Lugar to retire and for him to be replaced with a true conservative.
