Don,

What mismanagement are you referring to? If you're talking about the audit that was successfully closed and the state was satisfied with what it found. Also, Mayor Luecke was part of the WIB and he never acted alarmed about the audit until now.

The "sweetheart" deal that you are referring to is actually a very modest severance package. Juan worked at WIB (and it's predecessors) for 19 years and they gave him 19 weeks of pay-one for each year he worked there. Seeing that Juan successfully brought new jobs to the region and assisted current employers I think his severance package was well deserved.

I would call to your attention the fact that Juan had a very successful career at Workforce and he gave that up to run for mayor in a city that is ready for a brighter future.

Don, aren't you ready for a better South Bend? Aren't you ready for less crime, better neighborhoods, and more high paying jobs? A lot of your fellow citizens are excited about the future of South Bend and are eager to work with Juan to restore the pride of South Bend. Won't you join them on November 6th?

This is the sort of noise that losers make. What about Manigault's gross mismanagement of the Workforce Investment Board - causing over one million dollars of taxpayer money to disappear. Or his possibly illegal sweetheart deal when he resigned from the successor organization recently.

Grow up.
