Bob Heaton to Make Important Announcement
Bob Heaton will make an important announcement regarding Indiana House District 46 Thursday, November 15th at 10 a.m. in Terre Haute.
WHO: Bob Heaton
WHEN: 10 a.m. Thursday, November 15
WHERE: Hilton Garden Inn, 750 Wabash Ave, Terre Haute
It would be too easy to say “Gee, I wonder what this is about?”, but considering the Republicans close victory with Duke Bennet in Terre Haute last Tuesday, it appears as if they could be ready to pounce on Democrat Vern Tincher in House District 46. Given the love that the people of Terre Haute still have for that banner 1978-1979 ISU basketball season, I’m sure they will have fond memories of Bob Heaton. In fact, let’s relive one now!
The perfect slate seemed in jeopardy on Feb. 1 when the 18-0 Sycamores trailed at New Mexico State, 83-81, with three seconds remaining and the Aggies at the free throw line. The shot was missed, however, and rebounded by Brad Miley and passed to Bob Heaton. Heaton launched a 50-foot desperation shot which banked through the net to send the game into overtime and earn still another ISU victory. It would not be Heaton’s last heroic shot. (source)
Ahh, the memories.

It will be interesting to see how Heaton performs in a state house race.

It will be more intersting to see how Vern holds up to another campaign. Democrates have a very strong love hate relationship with Vern. They just can’t seem to bring themselves to find a primary opponet. Vern is not the spring chicken that he once was, and is rumored to have some heart issues.
