Everytime I go up there, there are new housing developments everywhere. This may help Republicans but the Republicans will need to be more like the Indianapolis Republicans--fiscal conservative, social moderate--if the Republican Party hopes to get these Chicago transplants. There's more good news from Da Region. There's word that two GOP heavy-hitters who have proven track records of winning in Democratic dominated north county could run for Lake Co. Commissioner posts. Maybe the tipping point has been reached and we'll see voters make some big changes in Lake Co. this fall, especially if the Lake County Council tries once again to pass a proposed local income tax since the Commissioners are the check against any such Council action.
