Let ‘em be insulted.
My preference would be a lifetime lobbying ban for all elected officials. Cincinnatus went back to his plow. Let our ex-legislators go back to their small businesses or farms or law practices, and be content.

Ah, but that would be work…
Okay, I’m not for using government power here to coerce a legislator into going back home when he is done legislating.
