Club for Growth’s President, former Congressman Pat Toomey, lists five options in a column in the Wall Street Journal today for suggested running mates to Senator John McCain, presumptive Republican nominee for President. Now that’s a move I hadn’t considered. If that happened (and I’m guessing that’s a giant “if” right now) that might allow me to stomach voting for McCain. Emphasis on “might”.
Don’t get me wrong, I like Mike. I’m just not too sure about the top of that ticket.

Mark Sanford, the governor of South Carolina.
I should hope that McCain has enough political sense to find someone more politically useful than Mike Pence (who has his virtues, but being a vice presidential candidate is not one of them).

Sanford is not the governor of South Carolina–he is “THE TRUTH”!
