What is Gary Snyder Hiding?

(Written by and re-printed with permission from Fort Wayne News)

Gary Snyder is running for State Representative and is saying all the right things to attract conservatives to his side in the District 50 Republican Primary in Huntington and Whitley Counties. Sndyer talks the talk and sounds like a good choice to send to Indianapolis where more conservative Republicans would be a welcome alternative to the squishes we have too much of right now. Problem is, Snyder has some skeletons in his closet that folks in Whitley and Huntington counties might not know about, especially since he just moved there about one year ago. So we’re going to do what we do best here at Fort Wayne News. We’re going to make the truth known and let voters know what Gary Snyder is hiding in his race to become the next State Representative in District 50.

(Find out what’s being hidden below the fold)

We’ve been told and have now confirmed that Snyder recently declared bankruptcy. Maybe that is why he moved to Huntington last year to run for State Representative instead of running in his own district? Also, Snyder talks a lot about being elected to the school board in his most recent community. Turns out he only served a few meetings before quitting. Maybe that is why he moved to Huntington to run for State Representative instead of running in his own district? Snyder says he is a conservative. But we’ve learned that he voted for a $1.7 Million excess levy appeal. Maybe that is why he moved to Huntington to run for State Representative instead of running in his own district?

Get the point? It appears that Snyder has lived in a lot of places and since “Gary Snyder” is a fairly common name, we’ll not post some of the other information regarding several civil claims against someone who might be the “Gary Snyder” who is currently running for State Representative in a district he didn’t live in a year ago.

State Representative Dan Leonard who currently occupies District 50 and is running for re-election is a consistent conservative who deserves re-election over this buffoon.

    Josh,
Wow, nice hit piece! Dan’s poll must have came out really bad. I decided to check your facts and if you would have done a quick check like I did, you would know Gary was the lone vote 4-1 against the levy. Poor reporting Josh! Public records also indicate his bankruptcy was not so recent, nearly 6 years ago. That may be recent in your book, but not mine. It seems Mr. Leonard is getting desperate about his race.

    Taylor appeals for funds

Nobody knows what would happen if the corporation runs out of money

The Taylor School Board, feeling it has no other choice, will ask the state for an emergency excessive tax levy.

The board approved a petition Wednesday to appeal for emergency financial relief by a 4-1 vote, with the dissenting vote coming from board member Gary Snyder, who said the board should have investigated other options.

  2. I heard he stold a candy bar from the grocery store when he was five. And to think, he packed up his very large family and moved to Huntington to HIDE from a bankruptcy six years ago and to run for state representative against a three term incumbent who site on the House ways and means committee. You even got the facts wrong on the levy thing. Should we start calling your blog the Star or Enquirer?

  3. Actually, I’m pretty sure the levy information is correct. Even if it isn’t, the bankruptcy information is damaging enough. Who would vote for someone who had a bankruptcy that recently??? Five years is not that long ago. Also, I’m aware that some far more damaging information is about to emerge that will pretty much seal Snyder’s political fate.

Cool, the politics of personal distruction. Maybe you can get his kids to hate him too and he’ll drop out tomorrow. All because he dared to run against Dan Leonard. I think this shows how desperate Dan Leonard has become and what a class act he really is. Can’t say the bankruptcy is that big of a deal to me. Keep sticking to the levy thing, i will take the news story over your venom any day.

  5. Don,
I was undecided but after this post and your response, You and Dan Leonard disgust me. Mr. Snyder, you have my vote. By the way Hoosieraccess, way to stick to your own blog rules, you are sure one classy site?

  6. How interesting that Ian and Whitley resident have the same IP Address. “Ian” was never undecided. It was Whitely Resident the whole time. Nice try to game the system.

    Josh,
Boy nothing gets by you. I will tell my husband to use a different IP address next time.

  8. I would bet $5 that “Whitley Resident” is really Gary Snyder. I am from the Fort Wayne area and don’t think this guy really has any support at all.

Well Don, while I am not Gary Snyder, i appreciate the effort. If he doesn’t have much support, why are you, Hoosieracess and Dan Leonard going after the guy so much. If he didn’t have much support, you guys would just let him wither on the vine like any other no name challenger. For the record, he has me and my husbands support.

wow–stirred the pot on this one, I love it! I don’t know about either of these two candidates, but I do admite that it’s not a good idea for anyone who has declared bankruptcy recently to run for office. As to the tax levy issue, one or the other has to be right; since I personally know the poster, I’ll defer to his facts over someone I don’t….

    I got your back, man
