Okay, give me a break on my grammer there. I'm typing fast and trying to get my thoughts out. I do know the difference between "your" and "you're."

Whatever our differences over the significance of a budget resolution vote, we can conclude that a) Baron Hill and Joe Donnelly talk the talk but don't walk the walk and b) both of them need to be replaced by Mike Sodrel and Luke Puckett respectively.

Oh, one could question why they voted to bring to the floor a vote about a budget resolution they intended to oppose, but those are more of a procedural vote rather than an "up or down" measure of more significant substance.

<em>"you’re vote on a budget resolution indicates whether or not you are in agreement with the budget and what it takes to accomplish that budget"</em>

First of all, it's "your," possessive; you're is a contraction of "you are"; someone is not a vote on a budget resolution, but they can possess a vote on it.

The vote is essentially meaningless -- to say nothing of hypocritical -- particularly when a member of Congress is voting against the budget and then turning around and voting for each and every single appropriations bill that composes that budget.

As I said, voting against the blueprint and then building the house that the blueprint designs.

Good post, Scott. Yet I would disagree with you on the subject of budget resolution votes being meaningless. Yes, they spend zero dollars, but you're vote on a budget resolution indicates whether or not you are in agreement with the budget and what it takes to accomplish that budget.

That said, both Joe Donnelly and Baron Hill are crowing about not voting for the budget resolution. Fair enough, but why did they vote "Yea" to bring the resolution to the floor? If they were really opposed to the budget resolution, they would have bucked their party leadership and joined Republicans in voting against a budget resolution that calls for the largest tax increase in American history.
