Hey Joe, Just How Deep Does That Knife Go?

I can’t lie. I wish the Republican nomination for President was just as competitive as the Democrats was. What Republican presidential candidate wouldn’t want a motivated electorate complete with hundreds of thousands newly registered voters? You’re telling me that would be bad for the Republicans?

But I’m also glad it’s not because we Republicans can sit back and watch the Democrats just stab each other in the back:

Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Joe Andrew, an Indiana native who also was state party chairman here, is switching his support from Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton to Sen. Barack Obama.

Andrew said the primary fight between Clinton and Obama has become too divisive.

“It’s bad and it’s time to end it now,” Andrew said. “End it in Indiana on Tuesday.”

As much as this is a slap in the face the Evan Bayh and the Clinton machine, this only increases the drama between Hillary and Barack in Indiana.  So does this news help Obama win Indiana next Tuesday?  Who knows, but the race may not end in Indiana after all.  Hillary now leads Obama in North Carolina.  I kind of see the Democrats shaping it out like this:
