IU Alumni: Support a Conservative for Trustee
I received this email today from Jim Holden addressed to IU Alumni.
Dear Conservative and IU Friends,
Do you believe IU needs a change from the same tired old left-wing administrators that have brought us such things as the Gay Culture Center, the Kinsey Institute, harassment of military recruiters, the banning of Christmas trees and handgun ownership in addition to spiraling tuition costs, a politically correct campus environment and a floundering athletic department?
Now is your chance to make a difference! Once a year in May, all IU alumni (anyone with ANY IU degree from ANY campus) are eligible to vote in for an alumni member of IU’s Board of Trustees. This year a solid conservative, Kelly Burton Smith, is a candidate for IU Alumni Trustee! She needs your support if she is going to defeat the incumbent, a far-left trial lawyer from Evansville who is also a left-wing talk radio host. Kelly is an intellectual property attorney in Indianapolis. She holds a law degree from IU -Indianapolis and will make a great Trustee! You can see Kelly’s candidate profile at http://www.alumni.indiana.edu/about/election/candidates/smith.shtml
If you have already signed up to receive an email ballot, please use it to vote for Kelly. If you have not received a ballot already via email you can either:VOTE VIA THE INTERNET BY GOING TO: https://election.alumni.iu.edu/
It’s easy and takes only seconds to do! It’s by far the easiest way to vote.
Or you can wait and vote by mail by waiting for your paper ballot to come in mid-May. If you wish to vote by mail and don’t receive a ballot, email mp5@indiana.edu for a new ballot.
Most important of all: Please forward this message to ALL your conservative IU friends and encourage them to take a ballot and vote for Kelly! Remember, any IU degree-holder can vote. Kelly can only win if conservatives get the word out about her candidacy.
Thanks for making a difference!
Jim Holden

Does an IUPUI grad count as an IU Alumni even if my degree is from the School of Engineering?

You have to hold an IU degree. I suspect yours is a Purdue degree

Actually when I graduated I had a choice of receiving a diploma with IUPUI inscribed on it or Purdue.

If you had gone with IU you could have also used it as a handicap placard-ha!ha!–GO PURDUE!!

See, we IU grads are above that kind of insensitive remark. And we didn’t need remedial instruction to learn how, either…
