Apparently General Clark doesn’t get it. But Senator McCain has more qualifications to be president in his right pinky than Barack Obama or Wes Clark have combined.
To quote Gary Varvel, “He was tortured and survived five years in the Hanoi Hilton and when given the chance to go home, he refused until his men were also released. That is leadership. That is courage. That is service and sacrifice for the love of his country. If this doesn’t qualify him for the leader of the free world, then what in the world has Obama done to trump it? Huh?”
For the second time in as many weeks (first here), former state Democrat party mouthpiece, Jen Wagner, has blogged about the irrelevance of the LG choice (read: Dennie Ray Oxley II) on the gubernatorial ticket. And she’s not alone. Other prominent liberal blogs are picking up where she’s leaving off. I would imagine it’s hard to embrace your guv candidate when trying to run hard in the opposite direction from her LG choice. What are they ashamed of? Why are they running away? Reminds me of the Tale of “Brave” Sir Robin.
I couldn’t write drivel this bad if you paid me.
Indianapolis - Just days after introducing a bill that would reestablish effective oversight of the U.S. commodity futures markets, 9th Congressional District Rep. Baron Hill was joined by legislative colleagues to discuss new legislation that would help curb the influence of energy speculators on gas prices.
In contrast, Hill’s Republican opponent held a press conference on the same day in which he yet again failed to offer substantial policies to provide the immediate relief that Indiana drivers desperately need.
I guess that’s the essential difference between conservatives like Mike Sodrel and liberals like Baron Hill, isn’t it?
Mike Sodrel’s idea of “substantive policies to provide the immediate relief that Indiana drivers desperately need” is to drill more, conserve more, and incentivize people to develop better technologies.
Baron Hill’s idea of “substantive policies to provide the immediate relief that Indiana drivers desperately need” is to raise taxes, conduct political stunt investigations, sue the oil companies (because we all know that they won’t pass their lawyer bills on to us at the pump), and increase government red tape.
