A vote fro Brad Ellsworth is a vote for Nancy Pelosi, like it or not. A vote for Peggy Welch is a vote for Pat Bauer, like it or not. Because the Democrats controlled the Indiana House (thanks in part to "conservative" Democrats like Welch) the constitutional amendment to protect marriage will not be on the ballot this fall, and now the entire process has to start over. But I'll add, regardless of what party (D, R or L) they belong to. The bottom line is that many people have given up on the limited government, low tax, fiscal conservative Republican Party that seemingly only exists in rare pockets (Ron Paul, Jeff Flake and for the most part folks like Mike Pence or even Duncan Hunter isn't terrible). And, unfortunately, fewer people (it seems) are waking up to big business, anti-capitalism, economic drag creating Democrat party. Libertarian criticisms aside, and Mitch Daniels odd "get over Reagan" comment ... we sure could use another Reagan. Or Goldwater... Taft anyone??? Please?
