That’s actually pretty funny.
Let’s face it, the GOP is jealous of Obama’s momentum and image, so they counter the momentum with straw man criticisms about the “Obamassiah” and smear his image with unpatriotic claims.

I don’t think “jealous” is the right term. “Amazement” may be closer–and not in the good sense of it. The GOP is trying to figure out how such an obvious empty suit with no experience or substantive ideas could be received by so many as if he was some great political figure and the answer to the future. They are not doing so based on any facts or evidence.
So you tell me–why would anyone with half a brain support Obama?

BHO is also the luckiest SOB ever to step floor onto the US Senate. If it weren’t for the hatchet job by the Chicago Tribune and The Machine, Jim Ryan would be the junior senator from Illinois and this would all be moot.

There is also a sense of dismay that so many are being taken by a message that is hardly more involved that “I will bring hope for change”.
