"You don’t buy food, or pay for utilities? Those aren’t subject to sales tax, you know."

BZZZZT!! Wrongo! What the hell does someone from Pennsylvania know about Indiana? Yes, [MOST] food here is not taxed but utilities like electric and natural gas are absolutely taxed. Phone is double taxed with sales, telecom, and the Algore tax (aka USF fee), and then for the carrier to charge a fee to cover the cost of collecting fees because the federal regulations are so onerous.

Who says "Chris" is from Indiana anyway? You're not.

And showing your further ignorance, your number of "two-thirds of all corporations" that don't pay taxes doesn't wash either - that 22% is paid by C-Corps but not all corporations at C-Corps - 2/3 of all corporations sounds about right for the number of corporations out there that are actually LLC's or S-Corps. Both entities are not taxed at the corporate level, rather they pass through to the owners. So that can really be from 30% or more if the owner becomes subject to the AMT.

The United States still has one of the highest corporate tax rates in the industrialized world, and a social engineering scheme disguised as an income tax system.

If Joe Biden thinks its patriotic to pay more in taxes, let him pay his entire income - 100% - in taxes. He'll feel really patriotic then. No he won't because he's a lying, plagiarizing, hypocritical buffoon. He's all for letting other people pay taxes.

Chris, I'll bet $10 that you can't post a scan of your 1040 and IT-40 showing that you paid 34% of your income as federal income tax and 8% as state income tax.

If you did, however, the sales tax rate would have to be 16%, and EVERYTHING you spent your money on would have to be taxable in order for you to pay 8% of your income in sales tax.

You don't buy food, or pay for utilities? Those aren't subject to sales tax, you know.

Two-thirds of all corporations in the US paid NO corporate income tax at all between 1998 and 2005. Zero, zip, bupkis, nada, nothing. Ninety-four percent of all corporations paid less than five percent tax on their income.

And you're asserting that 22% of your income goes to pay corporate income taxes that get passed along? That is, 44% of what you actually have to spend after deducting income and sales taxes?

I hate to spoil your illusions, Chris, but corporations don't begin to book 44% of their gross revenues as income, much less that much *tax* on their income.

I guess I haven't been patriotic enough by having 72% of my money go to pay for those who refuse to work....hmmmmmm

34% - goes to federal income tax
8% - goes to state income tax
8% - goes to local sales tax
22% - goes to the embedded tax found in all products I buy (22% corporate tax that is passed to me)

For those of you in Rio Linda - That adds up to 72%

Thanks for making the nation more communist.
