If you sat through tonight’s debate and hadn’t seen the other two, you didn’t miss anything. Just a few highlights.
That’s pretty much it. So let me plug my appearance on Abdul tomorrow morning.
I’m going to be on Abdul in the Morning tomorrow morning at 7:10am with Blue Indiana’s Thomas Cook to talk about the shindig in Bloomington this evening and to talk about tomorrow night’s final presidential debate.
So tune in WXNT 1430am at 7:10am or log on to the WXNT website to hear the live stream.

“CNN European political editor Robin Oakley pontificated to Senators McCain and Obama on how the U.S. can be more liked by people in Europe. The U.K. native’s advice — change the country’s policies, especially its conservative ones, so it’s more like the European Union. The best example of this came when Oakley brought up the issue of guns: “While we’re on the symbolism, let me remind you how many Europeans see U.S. voters — as a trigger-happy bunch with a Bible in one hand and a rifle in the other….”
Now who does THAT sound like?
“Clinging to their guns and religion”
Nevermind the fact that Europe is chucking the Bible in favor of Korans in many areas - London and Paris for example.
Also from Robin Oakley, referring to the Presidential candidates plan to wrap up operations in the Middle East:
“What Europe would like to be assured is that you don’t plan to start any more [wars].”
What an ungrateful snit. Would you preferred we not gotten involved in that one about 60 years ago?
Abdul over at Indiana Barrister posts a piece by Lawrence Twp Trustee Mike Hobbs (D) about the locally hot topic of township government reform. Knowing the Dems are just as interested in protecting their turf as much as some Republicans, I smelled a ‘Rat. So I sent our resident Jack Russell Terrier into the burrow and found Mr. Hobbs is only interested in privatizing one part of township government. The part that’s not under his or his political party’s control.
In the tradition of FReeper “PJComix”, author of the DummieFunnies, I’ll interject in between passages below the fold: (more…)
Already taking bets on how many times we hear: Toll Road, “I grew up on a farm” I-69, “I have Masters and a Ph. D.”, which horrendous shade of blue tonight’s pants suit will be and (not forgetting Andy) constitution.
The debate will be broadcast live by many Indiana radio and TV stations beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern time.
In Lake County, ACORN registered Jimmy John (at the address of the Jimmy John’s restaurant). Today we learn that ACORN tried to register Mickey Mouse (see picture to the right).
OK, but is this really election fraud? In Ohio we learn today that an individual who ACORN was fraudulently registering to vote has tried to cast a ballot.
The vote of Darnell Nash, one of four people subpoenaed in a Cuyahoga County probe of ACORN’s voter-registration activities, was canceled and his case was turned over to local prosecutors and law enforcement, Board of Elections officials said yesterday.
Nash had registered to vote repeatedly from an address that belonged to a legitimately registered voter, officials said during a hearing at which the subpoenaed voters were to testify.
Board officials had contacted Nash this summer, questioned his address and told him to stop repeat registering.
But still, he breezed into Ohio election offices - the state allows early voting for president - reregistered with a fake address and cast a paper ballot, officials said.
“He came in on 9/30 and Mr. Nash again registered to vote at [someone else's] address, and he cast a ballot,” said board official Jane Platten.
Nash did not turn up for the hearing.
What a surprise. They caught this one–how many are getting through without being caught?
The quotable Joe Biden continues.
Joe Biden is enjoying himself so much on the campaign trail that occasionally he gets to thinking he’s about to become president. “In a Biden…an Obama-Biden administration,” he said during an event at an American Legion hall here in Rochester, New Hampshire this morning, catching himself just in time.
