Is This Meant to Reassure Voters?

I thought it was Joe Biden’s job to remind voters why it’s a good idea to vote for Barack Obama, not to scare them by saying if he’s elected America will be in the sights of our enemies.

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

And Joe, who might be generating these crises?

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities.”

Okay Joe. Then again, if Obama has his way, we’ll step down our protection of Israel (well, that’s according to Jesse Jackson) thereby negating the Middle Eastern conflict leaving us only to worry about Russia. Alright. So what should we do to support our potential “Dear Leader”?

“And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him…

Of course not, because you guys raised a cool $150 million last month and are sitting on a veritable campaign version of Ft. Knox…

- we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

What do you mean “we’re right”?  Joe are you talking about a preventative attack?  Or are you suggesting someone might attack us and we’ll have to retaliate all because the inexperienced Barack Obama will be tested by unfriendly nations to see if he’ll either meet with them face to face or attack back?

Good to know Joe is warning Obama supporters we’ll be “tested” because even foreign nations understand Obama is inexperienced.

  1. Nice straw man. Jesse Jackson? I mean that’s just irrelevant.

  2. So you admit Jesse Jackson is irrelevant, but the rest of the argument stands?
