5000 Early Votes In ONE PER Day!
Just checked the George Mason University numbers for Marion County in light of the Rag report of “heavy” turnout at the two satellite voting centers on the Northside and Southside. According to the GMU reported numbers, 5000 people turned out in ONE DAY to vote early. Averaged out among all precincts we’re now at 30 votes per precinct being early in person votes.
UPDATE 10/27/2008 - With One Week before the early voting deadline and One Week and One Day remaining to Election Day, Marion County has exceeded by percentage of early votes compared to the early votes cast in the 2004 General Election. As of the 26th, Marion County has 27,078 early votes cast, or average among all 590 precincts equally that’s 46 votes per precinct.
