Newt for RNC Chairman?
Seems the movement is afoot - from his home state anyway
Digital Journal has the story:
“As Georgia Republican Leadership meet today to plan for the expected run-off of Saxby Chambliss against Jim Martin, my sources tell me Gingrich is having meetings to discuss his own race.”
Mike Pence in a US House leadership role and Newt Gingrich as chairman of the RNC, finally we conservatives can kick the RINOs to the curb and get back to business.

I’m going to the Indiana Chamber Awards dinner tonight where Newt is tonight’s speaker. He probably won’t say anything about the speculation, but it could be interesting if it pops up.
He’d be better than the other rumor of Mitt Romney for RNC Chair.

It depends on what you are looking for, Josh. Mitt would be a great organizer, which I’m not convinced that Newt would be. Newt is savvy in understanding issues and how they relate to elections–and for that he may be a great choice.
Newt was the best Minority Leader that I can ever recall, so I suspect he would do well leading the GOP as a minority party. My only issue with him is that, like Rove, sometimes the positions can become weird in order to win a few votes. (For instance, he has drunk from the Global Warming kool-aid).
I still want Fred around somewhere helping design the positions of the party.

Anybody but Duncan. He needs to go back to the hollers of Kentucky and sell Amway again. He has been a huge disappointment and he should have been canned after he presided over the disaster of 2006.

Just wanted to say, Newt was FREAKING AWESOME tonight at the Indiana Chamber Awards dinner. If he’s really running for the RNC Chairmanship the Obama administration and Congressional Democrats won’t know what hit them.
