We’re starting the process of rolling out some new features here on HA that we think may interest some of our readers.
First, we’re offering space for your business or group to advertise here on HA. (Open in any other browser than firefox…for some reason the site does not like it…just a heads up)
Second, we’re rolling out a new community calendar (just off to the right). Use the contact form to submit upcoming events in your area, such as Young Republican meetings, GOP Club meetings, fundraisers (political and non-profit related, including churches), pretty much anything you want to get out there we can post it*.
Third, we’ve launched the Hoosier Access job board. There you can post job listings for $15 for a 30 day listing or you can browse jobs currently listed.
I also want to remind our readers to stay involved with us. Please check out and join our Facebook group as well as subsribe to our RSS feed or get HA in your inbox.
I hope you enjoy our new features. There will be more to come in the future!
*all submissions will be reviewed by Hoosier Access prior to posting
This is former congressman Joe Scarborough at his finest on one of the most liberal news networks. But hey, at least MSNBC is starting to admit it.
(H/T - The Facts Were These)
Sorry but I don’t think we need or can afford any more of these bailouts. What the entire country needs are more buyers of real estate, and a whole bunch of people in our industry need to stop talking the market down just to slam easy price cut deals. Sorry that’s my opinion, I won’t ever be working with an agent that slam-talked the market on the way down personally.
Sign “no auto industry bailout” at #dontgo
Remember the excitement of this summer’s #dontgo Revolution? When Republican Congressional members debated in the dark, demanding that Speaker Pelosi let them vote on oil drilling. She kept the lights and microphones off, so technology kicked in and members with phones twittered using the #dontgo hashtag to get the word out to all of us.
Well that same group, of dedicated conservative activists, #dontgo movement is hosting a petition drive to say “NO AUTO INDUSTRY BAILOUT” to Congress, the President and the President-elect.
Go to #dontgo Movement to sign the petition and while there check out the activities and action network.
For those in our area worried about the steel business, remember the best thing that happened to that industry was when they were forced to reorganize to get leaner, to produce faster, to produce the best steel in the world!
Well, I thought with the upcoming exit of Ted Steven (US Senator from Alaska), Sarah Palin might have been interested in running for his seat.
She shed some light on that last night:
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin says she is not interested in running for the U.S. Senate and prefers her current position as governor of Alaska.
“No, I’m not planning on it because I think the people of Alaska will best be served with me as their governor,” Palin, who has two years left in her term, told NBC television in an interview.
I still think the Senate position is a strong move to keep Palin relevant in the leadership of the GOP.
Maybe she has other plans…
Editor’s Note: House Minority Leader John Boehner has faced criticism for not being a strong leader. The below is a look at a specific issue where relaxed leadership may not have been the best strategy.

I would like to see new leadership for the house GOP. I think this past summer’s energy issue is a good example of how poor leadership from Boehner cost us making more hay from the issue.
Boehner allowed, or did not discourage, anyone and everyone from offering up some sort of energy legislation. As a result we ended up with 17-plus pieces of energy legislation swirling around the House.
This allowed every moderate Democrat to be able to “co-sponser” one of the many energy bills and then campaign back in the district that they are “for increasing domestic energy production” knowing full well that with support spread over 17-plus bills NOTHING would have enough support to actually move forward with any chance of passage. Knowing full well there was no danger of upsetting Nancy Pelosi and the extreme environmentalists.
In case you missed, here is the Sarah Palin interview on Fox News with Greta Van Susteren. After you get through the first five minutes talking about her “clothes” and other dumb controversies, it finally gets good. Though one note to Governor Palin. Not all bloggers live in the mom’s basement and blog in their pajamas.
For instance, I own my own house, but have no basement.
