I honestly do not think he has the "fire in the belly". All due respect to Nate, but Fred would probably contract out the hippie punching. I love his ideas and I love his commentary, but he has not proven that he is willing to get off his butt and do the legwork necessary. Frankly, if Newt didn't come hitched to a baggage car, I'd prefer him. And that's a stretch for me, because I have never been much of a Newt fan. I have heard more of Fred explaining his conservative positions and really LOVE those explanations. I haven't heard the same from Steele, though he certainly holds the positions that I want to see the Party focus on. If it came down to a vote for either Steele or Fred, I would sit back and smile.
