Elkhart County Young Republicans Host Community Response
Elkhart, Indiana – The Elkhart County Young Republicans are bringing the issues of Healthcare, Cap and Trade and Card Check home to Elkhart County by hosting a community response on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Nelson’s Golden Glow Chicken, 607 Nelson’s Parkway, Wakarusa.
The event, immediately following the Presidential address also taking place in Wakarusa, is designed to increase public awareness of the consequences of passing these bills and to ignite community involvement in the political process. The public address will feature speakers from the Elkhart County Young Republicans, representatives of the business community, professionals from the medical industry as well as elected officials.
“We are grateful for the national coverage that a President’s visit will bring to our community,” stated Ryan Brandenberger, Chair of the Elkhart County Young Republicans. “However, the Elkhart County Young Republicans want to make a statement that we are more than what is depicted in a closed door town hall meeting. We want to represent the REAL Elkhart County, who we are and what we stand for.”
The Elkhart County Young Republicans are providing a unique opportunity for local citizens to share their opinions with a united voice as Republicans. The group is impacting the community by connecting like-minded individuals with a passion for making a difference.
