Yesterday Rep. Baron Hill, 9th Congressional District in Indiana (D) took a page out of the Pelosi playbook and called the Health Care Protesters “Political Terrorists”. Now this is just my opinion, but you probably should not call the people in your District that are against Health Care “Political Terrorists”, because that is what you are doing. But sometimes it seems the 9th District has a short memory and keeps voting this guy into office.

Let me just say this, I am not against Health Care…I am against Health Care run by the Government. Now understand something here, this is the same Government who runs these programs as listed:

Medicare

Social Security Disability

Social Security Income

Cash For Clunkers

Housing assistance

Now these are all programs that the Government runs that are completely broke and have failed, but we continue to fund it and not fix it. And they want another Government plan? Really? Folks I have seen the paperwork that goes with each of these programs and it is not a pretty site. The red tape you have to go through is ugly and sometimes can take a year or more just to get approved. If this is what you want, then so be it, but don’t let me hear you complain when something does not go your way. My Grandpa always told me this “You bought it, you eat it” same concept, don’t let me hear you complain when this program is taking a year or so just to get you approved “You voted for it, now live with it”!

I am not a “Political Terrorist” nor am I un-American for not wanting this program. I grew up in a Military family, Father was Air Guard Vietnam Vet, Grandfather was WWII Army Vet and my Brother was a Marine in the first Gulf War. Don’t you dare call me those names and don’t you accuse others of the same thing!

You Democrats need to get your priorities in place and believe me I know that is hard for you to do. But these people who are against Health Care are everyday Americans that are worried about our Government getting to big and most of them are not rich and wear Brooks Brothers suits.

For once I ask you listen to the Taxpayers and not vote for his horrible piece of Legislation. Another thing my Grandpa always “If it is not broke don’t fix it, but if it is then fix it” Well Mr. President and Congress, the list above is broke…fix what we have and get your House in order! Don’t shove this down the Americans throat!

  1. Alright. I challenge those against government run healthcare to reject checks from failed government healthcare.

    • Let’s hope that we don’t have a chance to deal with your challenge.

That being said, I don’t hold it against veterans to receive benefits from a failed government healthcare program. I don’t hold it against Sr. Citizens to receive benefits from a failed government healthcare program. When it becomes the only game in town, your choice will be use the failed government healthcare program or get no healthcare at all. It is not a valid challenge.

By the way, those programs are instructive here. Particularly Medicare. It is going broke and it has all of the pieces in place that can supposedly be used by current proposals to “bring down prices”, but it hasn’t. Many doctors limit their Medicare patients (i.e. ration their offerings) because they cannot be profitable there.

I have yet to hear of anything in these proposals that will actually bring down any health care costs OR actually insure more people. What exactly IS the purpose of this legislation?
