6a010536b40d6e970c0120a5dca3a2970b-120wiIn a move that recognizes his opponent’s, Jim Banks, true conservative values, Ron Fusselman today announced he will be withdrawing from the Indiana State Senate District 17 race and turning his attention to challenging State Representative Dan Leonard for the District 50 State Representative seat.

“I started this journey to become your State Senator with the hopes and aspirations of bringing true conservative change to the General Assembly.  Over time, I have come recognize that the race to replace Senator Dillon has two true grass roots, conservative candidates.  Therefore, my talents and resources could be more effectively put to use challenging a State Representative in Dan Leonard that does not hold the same conservative values and is beholden to special interest groups,” Fusselman said.

“So today, I am announcing I will be amending my campaign to reflect my withdrawal from the State Senate race and focus on challenging State Representative Dan Leonard for the Republican nomination for State Representative, District 50.  I will also be supporting Jim Banks to replace Senator Gary “Doc” Dillon as your next State Senator,” Fusselman added.

“I welcome Ron’s decision and wish him luck in his future political endeavors,’ Banks said of Fusselman’s decision.
