Hey, What Happened to that So-Called Live Blog?

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

Two words: no connectivity!

My lessoned learned from moving to a different location?  To scout the new place out to make sure I have a signal so the live blog will actually work.

My deepest apologies to those who stopped by the blog to participate in a live chat that never was.   These are the little kinks that we’re working out as we try new things.  But I promise you, it will work better next time as we will be at a place with a signal.

That said, we still recorded the podcast and the segments will be up in the coming days.

Does the Live Blogging Ever Stop?!

Friday, February 15th, 2008

Update: Due to technical difficulties, the live blog will not be ‘live’. We will have reports from the event posted later today.

Update - Tomorrow festivities should begin around 9:00am.

Tomorrow, Hoosier Access in conjunction with the Digital Farmer and Digital Agriculture Media will be live blogging the Marion County Republican Slating Convention. Sure, the exciting portion of the event took place back in January with the slating of Jon Elrod for the 7th CD seat, but there are still a bevy of State Rep. races to watch such as HD 86 and HD 89. Both races are contested heading into the slating convetion, with Adam Nelson and Kurt Webber duking it out for HD 86 and Holly Davis and Chris Swatts in a turf war for State Rep. Larry Buell’s seat. With the Indiana House of Representatives up for grabs in November, these two races will be key to watch.

In addition to blogging all the action, we will also interview the candidates during tomorrow’s action. Remember, the best coverage of the Republican slating convention will take place right here at Hoosier Access.

What Do Hoosier Access and U2 Have in Common?

Monday, February 11th, 2008

We’re both available on iTunes! Bit of a stretch? Thought so.

Anyway, as Hoosier Access continues to grow, we’re making ourselves portable. Download Hoosier Access Radio to your iPod (sorry Zune owners…all three of you) and listen to HA in the car, on a plane trip or anywhere you’re on the go.

This makes for a Beautiful Day….and an open thread.

Hoosier Access Radio

Sunday, February 10th, 2008

The podcast recorded today with 7th District Congressional Candidates Jon Elrod and Libertarian Sean Shepard, and Congressman Dan Burton is posted.

We had a technical glitch and we didn’t get all of the interview with Jon Elrod. Sorry about that Jon. The recorder showed it was recording, don’t know what happened to the first bit of the interview.

Warning: it’s almost 2 hours long and 100 MB download - Lots of good conversation with the Congressman and the candidates.
