State Representative Cindy Noe (R-87) takes her turn in The Hot Seat and gives Hoosier Access Radio a rundown of the lowdown at the Statehouse
We just can’t seem to stop ourselves. Hoosier Access Radio is returning to the podcast waves as we meet at the South Bend Chocolate Company tomorrow, March 1st, from 3:00 to 5:00. Tomorrow’s guests include:
Talk about a full lineup! The individual podcasts will start airing here on Hoosier Access beginning Saturday night. They will also be available on iTunes for downloading.
We’re both available on iTunes! Bit of a stretch? Thought so.
Anyway, as Hoosier Access continues to grow, we’re making ourselves portable. Download Hoosier Access Radio to your iPod (sorry Zune owners…all three of you) and listen to HA in the car, on a plane trip or anywhere you’re on the go.
This makes for a Beautiful Day….and an open thread.
The podcast recorded today with 7th District Congressional Candidates Jon Elrod and Libertarian Sean Shepard, and Congressman Dan Burton is posted.
We had a technical glitch and we didn’t get all of the interview with Jon Elrod. Sorry about that Jon. The recorder showed it was recording, don’t know what happened to the first bit of the interview.
Warning: it’s almost 2 hours long and 100 MB download - Lots of good conversation with the Congressman and the candidates.
*Update*
Here’s the podcasts broken down into guests for benefit of those on slower connections or want to listen to a particular Hoosier Access Radio guest
Congressman Burton’s Chief of Staff Rick Wilson talking about the Mike Delph situation
Libertarian Congressional Candidate Sean Shepard
I also received notification the Hoosier Access Radio podcasts are now listed on the iTunes service. So if you have an iPod you can subscribe to Hoosier Access Radio and download it to your iPod.
Here’s a few minutes of today’s podcast recorded at the South Bend Chocolate Company on Monument Circle this afternoon. Rick Wilson, Chief of Staff for Congressman Dan Burton, gave his opinion on the situation of the mainstream media and in particular the Indianapolis Star.
It’s that time again. Hoosier Access will be conducting it’s monthly radio podcast tomorrow at the South Bend Chocolate Company from 2-4. Tomorrow’s scheduled guests include:
Who says we aren’t bipartisan?
Be looking for the podcasts to be loaded over the weekend!
Okay, so there weren’t any verbal punches thrown or fist fights to break up, but Thomas of Blue Indiana and I had a pleasant conversation this morning on Abdul’s radio program. We talked about issues that we’re discussing on our blogs, property taxes (specifically school referendums) the 7th CD race and a few other assorted topics. I wish we had had time to talk about the 7th CD race more because, off the air we got into a really good discussion about the candidates, Andre Carson’s faith, and the relative inexperience of both candidates running in the special. That would have made for good radio, but those blasted advertisements that pay Abdul’s and Chris’ salaries kept interupting good conversations.
I hope to have the audio available to play sometime soon.
Today, Hoosier Access in cooperation with Mike Jezierski of the Digital Farmers blog had the opportunity to interview State Representative Jon Elrod. After our interview (which lasts about 20-25 minutes), Jacob Perry of the Circle City Pundit and Mike gave their views on which candidate would be a better opponent to Andre Carson in the special election. Enjoy!
This past weekend, Hoosier Access and RepublicansRadio.com teamed up again for an entertaining show that included a lively conversation with Ryan McCann of Veritas Rex and the Indiana Family Institute and Bil Browning of the Bilerico Project. What a great conversation! We were supposed to discuss the upcoming General Assembly, but as was probably to be expected, we focused most of our time discussing SJR-7 (aka the Marriage Amendment).
While Bil, could have felt as if he was being thrown to the wolves, so to speak, in this highly charged conservative atmosphere, those of us who were there sat back and watched Ryan and Bil argue the merits of SJR-7 and its place during a short session that is destined to be occupied with property tax legislation.
Ryan said that it is possible to legislators to do more than two things at once, while Bil argued that there is a law already on the books, has been challenged (the challenge lost), so why do we need an amendment. Ryan countered that after 16 years of Democrats in control of the governors mansion, the state courts have been “packed” with potentially activist judges.
Mostly, my co-host and I, as well as the other guests, just sat back and watched these two guys duke it out. No matter where you stand on SJR-7, it made for great radio. We hope to make these guys a monthly feature.
We followed that up with former City-County candidate Bruce Henry talking about his experience on the campaign trail, his work with Mayor-Elect Greg Ballard on the transition team and addressed the rumor of him running for congress in the Indiana 7th. Did we get an answer from him? You’ll have to listen to the show.
We closed to the show talking to bloggers Jacob Perry of the Circle City Pundit, Sir Hailstone of the Digital Farmers blog as well as surprise guest, former council candidate Adam Longworth, about the other candidates who have thrown their hats into the ring for congress in the 7th. Make sure to check out the shows at RepublicansRadio.com!
